What is Bhasma Aarti?
Bhasma Aarti is one of the most unique and sacred rituals performed only at the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.
It is the only aarti in the world where holy ash (bhasma) is used to worship the Shivlinga during the early morning Brahma Muhurat (around 4 AM). Witnessing this divine ritual is believed to cleanse sins, awaken inner peace, and bless the devotee with strength and positivity.
Due to limited entry, advance booking is required, and entry is allowed only with valid Aadhar and dress code (Dhoti for men). This once-in-a-lifetime spiritual experience attracts devotees from across India and the world.
